Expert urges public to prioritise reading labels and explore Ayurvedic medicines as alternatives

Recently, Victoria Health has discovered Ayurvedic medicines containing lead being sold in grocery stores within the state. Dr Naveen Shukla, President of the Australasian Ayurvedic Association, points out that Australia is among the few countries treating Ayurvedic medicines as drugs, subjecting them to rigorous approval processes. He emphasises the importance of reading medicine labels correctly and approaching Ayurvedic medicine as an alternative healthcare option.
