Optus outage: Communication minister pledges to safeguard the nation from network nightmares

The Optus breakdown of 8 November has been described as the worst network outage in Australian history. The federal government is now initiating a review into it. The Communications Minister Michelle Rowland, while speaking to the ABC, has said the review is intended to enhance Australia's protection in the event of potential future incidents of a similar nature.
