Local mental health practitioner Maria Waris Nawaz spoke to SBS Hindi as Bondi opened after the stabbing attack for the week's operations. She shares that people are reserved, on the lookout and scared in the area. The food joints and malls that used to be typically busy during lunch are quiet, and one is extra cautious of their safety. She feels the community will take time to overcome the shock of this attack.
