Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced the new line-up today alongside Deputy Prime Minister Michael McCormack, who survived Barnaby Joyce's leadership challenge on Tuesday. Nationals MPs Darren Chester and Keith Pitt have been elevated to cabinet in a ministerial reshuffle.


The Senate will investigate the $100 million dollar sports grants program after the Minister responsible for the controversial scheme resigned from Cabinet.

 

Scott Morrison came under heavy personal attack on the first full parliamentary sitting day of the year, defending his government's response to the bushfire crisis.
