According to Dr. Amita Tuteja, a senior registrar in obstetrics and gynaecology, women are delaying their appointments due to the increasing costs of consultations. A recent report by the Productivity Commission has shown that the percentage of people who delay or skip appointments due to cost has doubled in the last 12 months, increasing from 3.5% to 7%.per cent in 12 months.
