Safety alert on select imported Ayurvedic medicines; expert urges consultation before use

Australia’s medicine regulator, the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), has issued a safety advisory for an Ayurvedic product after detecting high levels of heavy metals, including mercury, lead, arsenic and cadmium.
