After years in a Syrian detention camp, a group of Australian women and children with alleged links to the self-proclaimed Islamic State group has returned home. While three women are now in custody facing charges, authorities say the urgent priority is not just security, but the fragile task of helping children rebuild their lives in Australia. Earlier in the week, the federal government confirmed the group had booked flights, with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese reiterating the government would play no role in their repatriation.
