Scientists warn Australia’s summers are undergoing a "total transformation," with climate change making extreme heatwaves more frequent and intense. A new World Weather Attribution study finds recent blistering heat was five times more likely due to global warming. As south-eastern states brace for another severe heatwave and soaring temperatures above 40 degrees, experts caution that heat poses serious health risks and can worsen bushfire conditions.
