Rising cost of living pushes many people into poverty

The Salvation Army has revealed that the cost-of-living crisis has led to thousands of Australians facing extreme poverty. It surveyed more than 1,700 people who have used its services over the past 12 months and found 93 per cent were struggling to afford basic necessities.
