Supermarket review advises hefty fines and stricter code of conduct

A new review into the sector recommends a mandatory code of conduct for supermarket giants to prevent price gouging and safeguard farmers. However, former Labor Minister Craig Emerson, who led the review, has stopped short of suggesting powers that could be used to split apart supermarket giants Woolworths and Coles.
