Taaza Update: June inflation slows to 3.8 per cent; RBA set for next rate call early next month

Australia's headline inflation rate has eased to 3.8 per cent in June, down from four per cent in May and slightly lower than economists had expected. The figures come as new Reserve Bank research reveals many Australians do not understand why interest rates rise or how they help bring inflation under control. The Reserve Bank board is due to make its next interest rate decision early next month.
