'The accidental writer': Award-winning disability advocate shares her journey

Writer Nandita Chakraborty has received a silver trophy at the Stevie Global Award for Social Change Maker in Disability. Her latest book, 'Dirty Little Secrets,' has won the YathaKatha Award.

Nandita Chakraborty is the recipient of the Victorian Multicultural Awards for Excellence in the field of arts and a disability advocate. The Australian Indian author shares her journey of writing and overcoming social stigma surrounding disability, which eventually led her to become 'an accidental writer.'


Currently, Ms Chakraborty's work is exhibited at Counihan Gallery, where she collaborates with artists such as Mahima Gadiyar, Laura Bailey, and Shipra Anand.
