Australians of Indian heritage are quietly shipping gold jewellery back home, not to sell, but to safeguard family heirlooms against theft and cultural drift. With bullion prices high and home break-ins rising, owners describe gold as a bridge between heritage and security. While professionals offer safekeeping alternatives, regulatory and storage challenges complicate the trend, raising questions about how we guard what matters most.
