Tim Watts, the Labor MP for Gellibrand, one of Australia’s most culturally diverse electorates, has been appointed by the Prime Minister as the Special Envoy for Indian Ocean Affairs. In this podcast, Watts, a former Assistant Foreign Minister, spoke about his upcoming visit to India this month and how he envisions his new role in strengthening ties with partners across the Indian Ocean.
