United Nations forges new agreement to reduce shipping emissions

A non-binding agreement was reached at the United Nations summit in London, aiming to achieve net-zero emissions in the shipping industry by 2050. The shipping industry is responsible for approximately 3 percent of the world's greenhouse gas emissions and this deal aims to address its environmental impact. However, there are concerns expressed by certain nations, who argue that the agreement falls short of what's required.
