In a new move by Australian Electoral Commission federal parliament is set to gain a seat.


The Australian Electoral Commission, which determines the number of seats, has decided Victoria and the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) will each gain one seat.

South Australia, however, will lose a federal MP, bringing the total number of lower-house electorates to 151.
