Manhunt continues for gunman suspected of police killings in rural Victoria

A massive manhunt is underway in Victoria after two police officers were shot dead and another was injured during a search warrant. The suspect, 56-year-old Dezi Freeman, is believed to hold views aligned with the “sovereign citizens” movement, which rejects government authority. Heavily armed and on the run, the suspect forced the rural Victorian town of Porepunkah into lockdown. Victoria Police Chief Commissioner Mike Bush said every effort is being made to track him down.
