Victoria plans to raise age of criminal responsibility

The Victorian government is set to raise the age of criminal responsibility from 10 to 12 years old next year before lifting it to 14 by 2027. Youth advocates have expressed disappointment and said that the changes should be immediate and not in stages to stop children suffering in detention.
