A new study by Royal Life Saving Australia reveals a notable drop in drowning rates, especially among young children. However, challenges remain for migrant and regional communities, with rivers and beaches still high-risk locations. Marking World Drowning Prevention Day on 25 July, a community volunteer, Harpreet Kandra, highlights that drowning remains a serious issue among migrants, including Indians, and calls for more safety initiatives to help prevent these tragic deaths.
