The theme of World Hearing Day 2025 is "Changing mindsets: Empower yourself to make ear and hearing care a reality for all." In this podcast, Melbourne-based Audiologist Vinay Kumar speaks with SBS Hindi and highlights the benefits of regular hearing screenings and precautions to safeguard ear health.

According to the Department of Health and Aged Care, about 3.6 million people in Australia experience some level of hearing loss. The noise exposure is one of the leading causes of this preventable hearing loss.
