Australian Visa Fee Hike And Its Impact!

In Federal Budget 2017-18, the Government has announced a number of changes to existing Visa Application Charges (VACs) including the introduction of a number of new products.Jitarth Jai Bharadwaj had a conversation with Ms Seema Chauhan, Migration consultant based in Brisbane. She explained why the fee hike is done and how it will impact the applicants.

The VACs will be updated in the Fees and charges for visas section of the Departments website from 1st July 2017.

Government also announced that all current VACs will be indexed annually in line with the forecast Consumer Price Index (CPI) and rounded to the nearest $5.
