Why does Vanghoua Anthony Vue want show his photos, sketch picture and video of Hmong elders' refugee history to Australian community about Hmong refugee history especially Hmong Australia community?
Vanghoua Anthony Vue who has graduated with a PhD in Arts and history from the Griffithe University says that he used to do art shows either in Tasmania, Brisbane and Cairns previously about Hmong Australia history in Australia.
Vanghoua Anthony Vue says that-we should tell Hmong Australia refugee history to Australia why are we here in Australia. We should tell, record and keep our refugee history especially Hmong Australian youth before our elders are no longer live with us and this story will be lost forever.
One of the most important point is that we should tell our refugee history to Australian communities as part of the Australian multicultural policy or as part of the Australian fabric especially for Hmong young people to know why Hmong resetle in Australia.
This year in Cairns at the Tanks Art Centre there will be photos, sketch photos and video recording Hmong Australian elder and Hmong community in Thailand about their refugee experience in Thailand and all of these materials will be shown at Tanks Art Centre from the 6th November - 7th December 2020.
The following images are some of the images of some of the refugee camps that Hmong people especially Hmong Australian used to live before resettled in Australia in the early 1980s.
