Aged Care Royal Commission holds its final hearing after two-year inquiry

Australia's doctors are calling for a complete overhaul of the aged care system, including reforms to improve the capacity and capability of the sector's workforce.


For the past two years, heartbreaking stories have been shared of the abuse and neglect of some of Australia's most vulnerable citizens.

The Royal Commission into Aged Care has been considering how to fix what has been described as a "broken system" in its 99th and final day of hearings.

The Commission’s final recommendations will be handed down in February.
