Compared to other Australians, people living with a disability usually have a greater prospect of unemployment. During the pandemic the problem has generally been even worse, although some new possibilities have opened up.


Fortunately, some employers are beginning to recognise the value of having a diverse workforce.  There are also financial incentives for businesses that employ young job seekers aged between 16 and 35 years. However, more needs to be done to ensure that people with a disability who are seeking employment are not forgotten.
