Today Prime Minister Scott Morrison visited flood- ravaged Lismore in New South Wales and provided some relief by announcing that the flood situation in Queensland and New South Wales is a national emergency. In the meantime, State Emergency Service (SES) volunteers are playing an important role in helping the community to stay safe.
Teddy Haryjanto is an Indonesian member of the SES in New South Wales. He explains to Sri Dean the extent of the current flood situation in New South Wales and how SES members cope in what seem to be overwhelming circumstances.
