Indonesia is not a wheat producer. However, there is actually research that has been running for more than two decades to develop tropical wheat in Indonesia.
The researcher of wheat crop development in Indonesia is Ir Joko Murdono, from Satya Wacana Christian University, Salatiga, Central Java.
Althoughstill small scale, this study at least proves that Indonesia in the future, may be able to produce its own wheat.
