Australian businesses say they need more skilled migrants

Australian business leaders are calling for urgent help to tackle the extreme labor shortages that are impacting companies across the country.


Although international borders reopened in November - many skilled migrants have not returned.
New government figures show only 23,000 temporary skilled visa holders have arrived over the past five months.
Today Australia competes with many other countries around the world for international visitors and workers. So businesses are asking the government to create more pathways to permanent residence through work.
