An app designed to break the language barrier in COVID screening and information is being launched in Australia, before being made available overseas.


Relaying complex COVID screening information and asking non-English speaking patients questions has been a challenge for medical staff and for some of the 21 per cent of Australians who speak a language other than English at home.

An app designed to break the language barrier in COVID screening and information is being launched in Australia, before being made available overseas.

Designed by Western Health and the CSIRO, the app allows for screening of patients and community members in 10 languages.
