Can distance education be implemented in Indonesia?

Since the corona virus pandemic has hit Indonesia in mid-March 2020, the Government through the Ministry of Education and Culture has decided that schools throughout Indonesia will be implemented online.


There are various obstacles in implementing online education.
Some of them are the limited facilities and economy.

There are still many regions in Indonesia that do not have internet access, or students who, due to economic limitations, cannot access the internet.

This obstacle makes online learning programs can be said to not work. Yogyakarta State University education expert Prof. Dr. Rochmat Wahab discussed the issue in this interview.
