A new state-of-the-art plastic sorting facility, the largest of its kind in the world, has been launched in Sweden.


The new plant is called Site Zero, built to receive 200,000 tons of plastic household waste a year. While there isn’t yet a market for each type of plastic they sort, upcoming EU legislation is set to require new plastic packaging to contain at least 35 percent recycled material.
