Dr Antje Missbach, a lecturer in Anthropology at Monash University, tells how her applications to become an Australian citizen both ended in rejection.


Why were Dr Antje Missbach’s applications to become an Australian citizen rejected?  Why are some citizenship pre-requisites, inflexible for people in Dr Missbach’s field of work? After these rejections will she apply again?  Dr Antje Missbach explains why her attempts to become an Australian citizen were sometimes frustrating and sometimes amusing.
