CO2 Emissions Return to Pre-Pandemic

It is estimated that carbon emission levels will increase to pre-pandemic levels after the lockdown is removed.


Data shows carbon emissions fell by 5.4% in 2020, largely due to COVID-19 lockdowns reducing the frequency of road and air travel. However, the Global Carbon Project report, is estimated that carbon emissions will rise back to pre-pandemic levels.
