COP15 achieves breakthrough biodiversity achievement

After what many have considered a historic lack of cooperation between world leaders on climate change, COP15 is being praised as an achievement.


Leaders have committed to protecting 30 per cent of land and water by 2030.

Negotiators have reached a historic deal at a U.N. biodiversity conference, representing the most significant effort to protect the world's lands and oceans.

The agreement also provides critical financing to save biodiversity in the developing world.
