The threat of coronavirus variants is causing some alarm around the world as the global COVID-19 death toll inches closer to two and a half million.
The World Health Organisation and the European Union have jointly launched a large-scale program to ensure effective deployment of COVID-19 vaccines in six countries.
They include Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova.
But WHO's Dr Hans Kluge is warning most European countries remain vulnerable
