The Sydney nursing home at the centre of a COVID-19 outbreak is ramping up measures to contain the virus as New South Wales government faces mounting criticism for its handling of the situation.

In an unprecedented move for any aged care facility, all staff members will now be tested daily for COVID-19.

New South Wales Health Minister Brad Hazzard  says it's an important step in containing the spread of the virus.

People in Australia must stay at least 1.5 metres away from others. Check your state’s restrictions on gathering limits.

Testing for coronavirus is now widely available across Australia. If you are experiencing cold or flu symptoms, arrange a test by calling your doctor or contact the Coronavirus Health Information Hotline on 1800 020 080.

The Federal Government's coronavirus tracing app COVIDSafe is available for download from your phone's app store.
