Eastern Australia is facing more power shortage problems and potential blackouts could occur in Tasmania and South Australia.
Regulators have set a price cap of $300 per megawatt hour in most countries as soaring wholesale electricity prices have exceeded the threshold.
This has prompted some generators to revise their market availability. And Regulators have warned of a shortage of their backup power supply.
The current supply is depleted due to international factors, cold weather, and coal-fired power plants being sent offline.
