On Monday, news broke that Sam Neill had passed away at the age of 78, surrounded by his family.
New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon hailed Sam Neill as a giant of the film world, thanks to his roles in numerous Hollywood and Australian movies, including Jurassic Park, My Brilliant Career, and The Dish. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Albanese regarded him as an honorary Australian—despite his birth in Northern Ireland in 1947—and as a deeply respected actor.
