Indonesian singer Feby Putri speaks about her career from 'a child who wandered' to performing in Australia

Having to migrate to the capital city of Jakarta when she was only 18 years old, singer and songwriter Feby Putri said it was not an easy experience. Despite the struggles, she admitted that it was this step that opened her career in music, allowing her to perform abroad, including in Australia.


Singer and songwriter from Makassar, Indonesia, Feby Putri, was one of those invited to perform at the SXSW's Touchdown Under stage in Sydney on 19 October.

She told SBS Indonesian how she first started in music by having to migrate to Jakarta at a young age, a journey that was not smooth with the music label that invited her, to when she was able to write songs and perform on the international stage.
