Federal Gocernment annouced $17.6 billion dollar stimulus package

The federal government has launched a 17.6 billion dollar stimulus package as coronavirus reaches global pandemic status.


Australians wake up to the news this morning Thursday March 12 that a coronavirus outbreak has been officially declared a global pandemic by the World Health Organization.

It emerged when COVID-19 virus cases exceeded 118,000 worldwide, with more than 4,200 deaths.

In Australia there are more than 100 confirmed cases of the virus, and there are three deaths.

The country is joining changes around the world to step up preventative measures, with the federal government launching a $ 17.6 billion stimulus package.
