Two-day state of emergency and fire bans have been implemented throughout the state of New South Wales while bush fires are still burning in Victoria.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison's visit to Cobargo in Bega Valley, New South Wales was greeted with insults from some residents.

New South Wales Transport Minister Andrew Constance, who is a Member for Bega, said local residents gave Mr Morrison "the welcome he probably deserved"

Mr Constance almost lost his own home in a forest fire and said the only two leaders in New South Wales were Prime Minister Gladys Berejiklian and Commissioner for Rural Fire Services Shane Fitzsimmons.
