The French government remains furious over Australia’s decision at short notice to cancel a 90 billion dollar contract to build submarines and choose the United States as a partner instead.


Meanwhile the head of NATO is appealing for members to focus on what he calls "the big picture" and not let the dispute cause a lasting rift.  Can the wound be healed?
