Proposals to recruit refugees for businesses struggling to find staff

Finding workers - let alone finding those with relevant experience and qualifications - has proven difficult, even after Australia's reopening, post-pandemic.


A recent survey by the Bureau of Statistics found that nearly a third of the businesses surveyed struggled to find suitable staff.

New figures from the Bureau of Statistics show 31 percent of the hiring businesses surveyed are having trouble finding suitable staff.

Two-thirds of large businesses, and 62 percent of medium-sized businesses struggle.

While 29 percent of small businesses said they were also unlucky, their operations were more likely to be affected.
