While NAIDOC Week typically falls during Victoria's school holidays, this Geelong independent school proactively incorporates Indigenous education into its curriculum.

Nani Osman Thomas serves as a member of the Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) Committee and teaches Indonesian language at an independent school in Geelong.

The school actively implements activities aligned with their RAP, intending to enhance students' awareness and respect for Indigenous communities and culture before the holiday break.

In a recent interview with SBS Audio Indonesian Program, Nani Osman Thomas discussed the school’s initiatives aimed at supporting Indigenous communities and culture.
