Hundreds of asylum seekers facing possible deportation after missing deadline

According to data from the Department of Immigration, hundreds of asylum seekers could be facing deportation after missing a deadline to apply for protection visas.

Those who missed the deadline will now lose their Centrelink payments. 

The government says they can either leave voluntarily, or risk being arrested and deported.
