In commemoration of the 77th Indonesian Independence Day, the Indonesian Consulate General for Victoria and Tasmania gave awards to several individuals and organisations, for their dedication, commitment, contribution and efforts in improving the image of Indonesia in Vic and Tasmania through various social, cultural and economic activities.
One of the recipients of the award is Associate Professor Shary Davies, Director of the Herb Feith Indonesia Engagement Centre, who encourages and facilitates discussion, collaboration and exchange of personnel and Indonesian studies.
All of efforts aims to improve both 'people-to-people' relations and relations between the two countries. She is also Associate Prof in the School of Languages, Literatures, Cultures and Linguistics.
