May 17 in Indonesia is celebrated as National Book Day. In the midst of technological changes that occur, many adjustments must be made by actors in this sector.

Writers, publishers, even book readers, have to adjust to what is happening.

One of them is the change in the format of the book itself. In the past, books were printed and displayed on bookstore shelves, then stored in bookcases at home. Today, many books are sold in electronic format, where thousands of books can be packaged in one small device, or even entered as a file on a mobile phone.

How do we interpret National Book Day in the midst of all these changes. Check out the interview with Maulina Muzirwan, a literacy activist who is also the founder of the Yogya Book Club.
