The spread of COVID-19 to regional parts of Australia has given governments a new problem. In the Victorian town of Shepparton, the quick spread of the virus has meant that around one third of the people are isolating. What has this meant for the town’s Indonesian diaspora?
Like many of the Indonesians who live in and around Shepparton, Anta Suhartono works on a farm. He is an essential worker. Anta explains to Sri Dean the great spirit of the people of Shepparton in general. He also tells of the situation Indonesians in Shepparton face and of the support they are receiving.
Listen to SBS Indonesian every Monday, We dnesday, Friday and Sunday at 3 pm.
