It is looking increasingly likely that Australian banks will be making it harder to get a loan to help ease growth in the property market.


Core Logic says the median price for a home across the country is just under $675,000 - that's up more than 20 per cent for the year and the most since 1989. While the monthly pace of growth has eased, prices are expected to continue to climb until interest rates rise.
