If you're among a growing number of people in Australia who've had COVID-19 you might be wondering: "Do I still need to get vaccinated?".



The Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunization - ATAGI, recommends that people who have had COVID-19 wait up to six months after becoming infected to get vaccinated.

Evidence suggests that past infection reduces the risk of reinfection for at least six months. Individuals who have prolonged symptoms of COVID-19 for more than six months may be vaccinated on a case-by-case basis.
