JobSeeker: Is a $3.58 per day increase too little or too much?

It is estimated that around 1.2 million people are on JobSeeker payments in Australia. The current supplement offering recipients $150 per fortnight is set to end on March the 31st.


However, the federal government will permanently increase JobSeeker payments for those looking for work by $50 a fortnight, after the coronavirus supplement is wound up.  How will the increase impact on the unemployed and the economy?
